Who Needs an Immigration Physical?

The USCIS requires a medical examination for:

  • Applicants applying for a green card (permanent residency)

  • Certain adjustment of status applications

  • Individuals referred by immigration attorneys for health clearance

  • Comprehensive physical examination – A thorough check of your overall health

  • Medical history review – Past illnesses, surgeries, and medications

  • Vaccination review – Ensuring you meet USCIS vaccination requirements and providing on-site immunization if necessary

  • Lab testing – TB screening(tuberculosis), syphilis, gonorrhea, MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (Chickenpox) and Hepatitis B. This varies on the vaccination status and age.

  • Documentation – Completion and submission of USCIS Form I-693

What to Bring

Please bring the following to your appointment:

  • Government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license)

  • Vaccination records

  • Previous medical records (if relevant)

  • USCIS Form I-693 (if already provided)


Process & Timeline

Schedule an appointment

To reserve your appointment, a $100 deposit is required. Your spot will only be confirmed once the deposit is received. Thank you for your understanding.

You may complete the payment by phone or online.

If you pay online, please write the cardholder’s name used for payment and the number of people for the immigration physical in the notes section when booking your appointment.

Your personal information will not be stored and the payment is for one-time use only.

  1. Attend the exam – typically 30–60 minutes

  2. Lab Results in 4-7 Business Days

  3. Receive completed Form I-693 within a few business days

  4. Submit your form to USCIS as part of your green card application

If the TB screening test is positive, you need a chest X-ray, and it will be reported to the County Health Department according to the USCIS guidelines.
